A compromise between simplicity and high scoring.
You can find even more setups in Optional DPC.
- ⭐ - Minimal setup. You must learn these.
- 🩹 - Can sometimes be used as recovery.
Setups on this page are ordered in a logical order which roughly, but not exactly, corresponds to average scoring.
For setup priority choices, refer to the tables and TSD vs Tetris debate below.
O, S, I DPC
Decide whether to prioritise TSD or Tetris DPC depending on what your loop starts with:
- If you use something like Jigsaw or PCO, which never makes use of b2b bonus from DPC, use TSD-based DPC.
- If you use Gamushiro & friends 8L, which get 800 extra points for TST from b2b bonus from DPC, use Tetris-based DPC.
- If you use SDPC, which only gets 400 extra points for TSS from b2b bonus from DPC, use Tetris-based DPC if you prefer speed or TSD-based DPC if you prefer higher PPB.
According to current research as of the time of writing (December 2022), TSD-based DPC scores a little more on average, but it comes at a cost of worse KPP and harder solves.

Comparison to Kuruma DPC:
Better for Blitz, high gravity, average setup score, high PPB Ultra, and when followed up by 1st PC/Jigsaw.
Worse for VS, speed, low KPP, low softdrop rate, b2b, consistency, and when followed up by Gamushiro & friends 8L.

Lime DPC is bad and should be avoided at all costs. Solves are complicated and average scoring is low. Unfortunately, Lime DPC is needed due to build cover. The only alternative (Elephant DPC) known at the time of writing (November 2022) is even more complicated.
Knowing only minimals might get you in a tight spot sometimes with Lime DPC. It's not a bad idea to know more solves. Here are all the unique solves: unique ↗️

Sometimes you can get an extra Tetris solve using this funny spin sequence involving 180 (doesn't work on high gravity unless you bind two rotations to one key):

Comparison to TSD DPC:
Better for VS, speed, low KPP, low softdrop rate, b2b, consistency, and when followed up by Gamushiro & friends 8L (because it boosts the TST score).

Most of the time there is an easy solve (first minimal alone has 90.0% build cover).
However, when that's not the case, it can be tricky to spot a solve.
I recommend this qb-like method using Curated "minimals" to spot when it's safe to complete respective solves
Curated "Minimals" (5)
This method combines spin solves and minimals together with an additional solve (the last one for early J).
If used like this, the additional solve replaces the last minimal, creating a 5-solve set of curated "minimals".
Second curated "minimal" can sometimes be upgraded to the remaining extra skim TSS.

5-line solve after TSMS. Makes up for lost score from only doing TSMS by possible b2b TSS+Tet solve.
